The rooms in Nicolaas Rockox's house refer to the inventory description of his death house in 1640. We pass through, among other things, the reception room, where we now unfold the network story, also of utmost importance at that time. Rockox's art room is now also a shrine with the best we have at home and at the same time emphasizes the crafts and talents of our Antwerp citizens, from furniture, to paintings and sculptures, to silverware, renowned far into Europe.

In Frans Snijders' house, the emphasis is on the creativity of this top painter and his contemporaries and successors, painters who conjured breathtaking still lifes, animal pieces, and hunting scenes from the brush. And of course, what did neighbors mean at that time? Two hours are actually too short, but an engaging guide presents the whole story to you in an original way.
